The present paper reports the photoluminescence studies of Sr2CeO4 phosphor using combustion technique. The photoluminescence and crystalline properties were examined as function of the firing temperature. XRD pattern of synthesized sample at different temperatures have been recorded.The crystal structure of Sr2CeO4 was found to be orthogonal by using Scherrer equation.The average crystallite size comes out to be 45nm for the 12000c reported.The combustion synthesized sample shows the formation of nano sized particles. Photoluminescence results show that this nano phosphor can be suitable for field emission displays as well as fluorescent lamps.
