SOLVING INTUITIONISTIC FUZZY VARIABLE LINEAR PROGRAMMING PROBLEM USING NEW RANKING METHOD OF TIFN

ABSTRACT

        In this paper, magnitude of membership function and non-membership function of a Trapezoidal Intuitionistic Fuzzy Number (TIFN) are introduced and a new ranking method of TIFN based on the magnitude is proposed. Properties for the ordering approaches are discussed and numerical examples are provided to illustrate the new ranking method and compared with different existing approaches. Finally the proposed ranking method is applied to order the TIFN in solving Intuitionistic Fuzzy Variable Linear Programming Problem (IFVLPP).
